The progress made by Tubes was rapid and marked by milestones which have ranked it as a pioneer in its industry. The first step is the BASICS Collection created in 1994 which is still part of the brand catalogue today. 

As early as the initial models, it is possible to notice the constant focus on the formal aspect and the painstaking care for details, such as the invisible welds on the tubes. Another aspect worth mentioning is the attention placed on water consumption levels and heating efficiency, from the onset. 

1996 saw the launch of the EXTRAS Collection (no longer in the catalogue), which is also still in production today, where styling is an increasing focus, giving the radiator body the personality of an interior design item. 

The genuine cornerstone in Tubes history is nevertheless the creation of the ELEMENTS Collection in 2004 which, under the artistic direction of Ludovica+Roberto Palomba, presents an actual revolution in the radiator industry. In this collection the brand expresses a new concept of the heating element, turning it into an icon of design.

The company invites internationally-renowned designers (Antonia Astori, Matteo Fiorini, Stefano Giovannoni, Elisa Giovannoni, Peter Jamieson, Alberto Meda, Nicola De Ponti, Satyendra Pakhalé as well as Ludovica+Roberto Palomba themselves) to reinterpret the radiator as an element of the architectural structure, brimming with a strong personality, thanks also to the customisation and modularity possibilities. 

This basic format has given rise to genuine iconic models, architectural feature elements that have been included within the permanent collections of some of the most important design museums in the world: from the “Centre Pompidou” in Paris to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Montreal, and even the International Design Museum of Munich which was established in 1907 and can boast being the first design museum in the world. These products have been exhibited in the most prestigious fairs in the world and they have also been judged by juries made fo international design experts, becoming thus winners of important awards, including the 2018 ADI Compasso d'Oro Award thanks to the radiator Origami. 

2018 marks another significant milestone for Tubes. The tradition of the Elements collection continues, but in parallel, a new era begins. The PLUG&PLAY Collection brings, along with the participation of some designers already involved in the Elements collection, a new collaboration between Tubes and Luca Nichetto. With this new family of products Tubes gives birth to a concept of portable designer heating, an unprecedented 'personal warmth' that is detached from architectural wall application and approaches the human element, which by nature is constantly in motion. The main feature of this collection is the combination of portability and a high aesthetic and design component. 

Tubes has travelled a journey to grow its business through LISTENING, RESEARCH, EXPERIMENTATION, both technological and styling-related. This enabled the brand to revolutionize the concept of the radiator, turning it into a design item, capable of defining the architectural space.
